The New Bedford Chapter, NSDAR, participates in a number of activities throughout the year and enjoys informative presentations on history, education, and patriotism. In the past year we have collected and donated items to Wrap Around Services, VA Medical Centers, and DAR Schools. We have addressed cards to send to active-duty military overseas and placed wreathes for Wreathes Across America.

We have had presentations from representatives of Wareham Minutemen and Militia Companies – re-enactors who regularly appear in parades, as costumed actors, as part of memorial observances and even historical movies.

During another presentation we were shown plans for Abolition Row Park currently under construction in New Bedford.
